MWH Constructors, Inc., a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is seeking a Paralegal to join our Legal Department in Broomfield, Colorado. Under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel, the Paralegal will perform general legal department activities and responsibilities related to corporate governance, claims, insurance, and risk management.

Essential Functions

• Support the Legal Department processes and corporate compliance.
• Review, process and maintain legal files and department records and department processes.
• Review and analyze all hard copy and electronic files of project documentation.
• Work with attorneys and department paraprofessionals, and corporate management, engineers, and administration as required.
• Conduct fact gathering interviews with employees on claims.
• Other miscellaneous duties to support project teams.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned, including contract administration, insurance program support, claims support, and assigned corporate matters.

Basic Qualifications

• Bringing 8+ years of experience with a broad knowledge of contracting, corporate, and law office management.
• Four-year degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility with tasks assigned.
• Proactive in finding cost effective and efficiency in process solutions.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Inhouse experience with a construction contractor.
• Experience with insurance, licensing, annual business filings, contracts a plus.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000/yr., based on experience.
