About the Role

MWH is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant located in Portland, OR. This project will be the first of its kind in, and ultimately supplying 135 million gallons of water a day to the Portland community. This position is a great opportunity to be a part of a historic infrastructure and filtration.

Essential Functions:

  • Overseeing electrical installations.
  • Supervise the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely and accurate installation of electrical infrastructure, resolving on-site issues as they arise.
  • Implement quality control measures for electrical systems to meet performance standards and ensure that all equipment operates reliably.
  • Ensure that all electrical systems meet local, state, and federal codes, as well as secure necessary permits for electrical work.
  • Conduct safety assessments and ensure that all electrical work adheres to
  • Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, verifying their functionality and performance before project handover.
  • Working on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Developing specifications and performance requirements.
  • Conducting tests and inspections to evaluate the performance of electrical components.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with advancements in the field of electrical engineering.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Water or Wastewater Construction experience preferred
